Marion Cotillard will be the new face of Chanel’s N°5 fragrance

French actress Marion Cotillard is the new face of Chanel’s iconic N°5 fragrance. Throughout her career, the acclaimed performer has won an Oscar, a César and a Golden Globe, as well as Best Actress at the 2008 BAFTA Awards for her work as Édith Piaf in La Vie En Rose. Having donned Chanel on red carpets in the past, and long been a friend of the brand, she is a natural fit for the label. The brand says Cotillard is the perfect incarnation of French natural beauty, stating that “she is bringing her elegance to the image of the iconic N°5 fragrance.” The campaign will launch later this year.

This week, cosmetics brand La Maison Valmont opened its first retail boutique in Canada, at Saks Fifth Avenue Sherway Gardens. Though the label has been available at Saks Sherway Gardens since the store opened in 2016, La Maison Valmont now has its own space crafted with a keen appreciation for art and design. Amongst hardwood walls, a chic sitting area and art pieces by Spanish artist El Bocho, the shop-in-shop offers a comprehensive product selection across Valmont’s skincare and fragrance pillars. Included in the mix is the prestigious Swiss Cellular Cosmetics and anti-aging products and treatments. Plus, the house’s new fragrance collections are launching in line with the boutique’s opening, and will be displayed on a dedicated wall.
