Here’s a breakdown of all the movies and television series we can’t wait to stream this month.

The Crown: Season 3
The latest season of this historical drama about the British royal family comes with a new set of faces–Oscar winner Olivia Colman takes over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Helena Bonham Carter joins the cast as Princess Margaret. This season is set in the 1960s, amid an economic downturn, fierce nationalism and Cold War paranoia. Showrunner Peter Morgan also told Entertainment Weekly that not only will this season focus on the dissolution of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon’s marriage but also on the relationship between Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Available November 17.

The King
Timothée Chalamet returns to the screen as Hal, a young royal who reluctantly assumes the throne as King Henry V after his father dies. Amidst palace politics, chaos and war, King Henry learns how to navigate his new life while at the same time trying to let go of his old one. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Robert Pattinson, and Lily-Rose Depp. Available November 1.

Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!
The Fab Five head to Tokyo for a special four-episode season, helping four Japanese men and women find the confidence to be themselves. “I want to transform from a rock to a psychedelic flower,” one man says. And the five obviously make it happen, through tears, heart-to-hearts and solid advice. “We’d tell you to get your tissues ready but you’re going to need power towels 😭😭😭,” warns a post from the show’s official Twitter account. Available November 1.

There’s nothing we love more than when two of our favourite names collide. So you can imagine our excitement upon learning that Toronto vintage store VSP Consignment is teaming up with US brand Reformation on a vintage trunk show next month.

Each year, Reformation unveils a vintage collection on site made up of 50 one-of-a-kind pieces. This year’s digital haul included a vintage Dior suit, as well as Levi’s Red Line 501 jeans amongst other top-notch finds like silk mini dresses, printed tees and snakeskin coats (there are still a few pieces left on site to snap up). The purpose of the vintage collection is to highlight the value of clothing, regardless of its age, and to help keep unwanted clothing out of landfills. According to a release, more than 85 per cent of discarded clothing ends up in landfills each year in the US.

By working with vintage pieces, as well as buying up deadstock fabric and recycling/reusing old clothes (the brand has recycled over 155,00 pieces already this year), Reformation is helping to change the landscape for second-hand clothing. This year, in addition to its digital trunk show, the brand is bringing the vintage shopping experience to consumers IRL.

Toronto’s own VSP Consignment (who most recently made headlines – and dreams come true – with its Schitt’s Creek wardrobe sale) is partnering with the eco-conscious brand to provide a curated selection of vintage accessories to compliment the limited-edition, location-specific vintage clothing items that will be showcased at the pop-up. Similar activations will be held across the US in LA, San Francisco, New York and Massachusetts, as well as London.

The Toronto trunk show will take place in Reformation’s Yorkdale store from November 15-17. Blocking out our calendars as “unavailable” now in preparation. We’ll see you there.

The Kardashian sisters are back at it again, this time teaming up on a new fragrance trio for Kim Kardashian West’s eponymous beauty line KKW Fragrance.

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe have each designed a fragrance as part of The Diamond Collection which is set to launch next month. The collection marks the first time the sisters have worked together for KKW Fragrance. Kim (who recently teased an acting gig alongside Jennifer Lopez) has previously partnered with younger sister Kylie on a trio of fragrances.

Each of the scents is a personal representation of the sisters.

Taking to Instagram to describe her scent, Kourtney wrote, “Working with my sisters for this collection was nostalgic. Fragrance is so personal, so being able to create my own scent from start to finish was an exciting experience. I wanted to create a vibrant one that matches my classic, playful vibe. The combination of golden berries, jasmine and vanilla is refreshing.” Kourtney’s scent (which is described officially as a sparkling oriental gourmand) comes in the yellow diamond bottle, with Khloe’s housed in the pink.

The youngest of the three sisters described her scent as “feminine, sexy and strong”, Khloe added, “It’s such a dreamy scent with a mix of sweet florals and musk that can be worn from day to night. I’ve been wearing this non-stop and love it more and more every day.” Notes in her “transparent floral bouquet” fragrance include cloud musks, pink sapphire tuberose and jasmine.

The third fragrance in the trio (housed in the white bottle) comes courtesy of Kim. Described on Instagram as “a fresh white floral bouquet” the scent has notes of ylang ylang, white musk and tropical floral leaves. Of the creation, Kardashian West said, “My scent is fresh and floral but it becomes warmer and more sensual as I wear it throughout the day.”

The Diamond Collection launches November 8 at 3pm local time.

Feel the need to inject a little luxury into your Thursday? Well you’re in luck, as British e-commerce giant Farfetch has just announced the launch of a rare collection of jewellery from the Christian Dior archives.

Available on site now, the collection was curated in partnership with Susan Caplan, one of the UK’s most renowned vintage jewellers. All meticulously preserved, many of the 80 pieces on offer have never been worn before.

The collection includes rings, brooches, earrings and necklaces dating from 1976 to 1998, and each handmade piece features Swarovski crystal detailing. Given the timeframe, the pieces were created during the Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré or John Galliano eras. Edwardian influences can be seen in the Galliano pieces, whilst the ultra-feminine designs come courtesy of Ferré.

The company says the capsule provides consumers with the opportunity to shop consciously. Maxim de Turckheim at Farfetch said in a release, “Recently we have seen an increased interest in archive, special pieces as customers are looking to make more conscious choices.” Caplan agrees, saying, “[Farfetch’s] vision for a more sustainable fashion future is one we share and so to be able to offer their customers access to such a significant slice of Christian Dior history, as well as an opportunity to make a conscious purchase, is something I am very proud of.”

Discover some of the pieces below (prices range from CAD$690-$6,974), and then shop your favourites.

This is the latest partnership from Farfetch, who recently teamed up with Gucci to bring its Open House concept to Toronto, tapping local artists Just John and Maya Fuhr for the editorial.

Working in beauty, you hear a lot of new phrases relating to skincare, but none have piqued my interest nearly as much as ‘zombie cells’. In a meeting with Dermalogica‘s VP of Technology and Development, Dr. Angela Murphy, to discuss the brand’s new Phyto-Nature Firming Serum (CAD$199), Murphy tells us that they’re a relatively new discovery in skincare. “We’re really starting to learn more about them. The real name for zombie cells is senescent cells – cells go through a lifecycle, they live and die, but sometimes they sort of go off to the side, secreting toxins and doing lots of bad things in the cell as a result. We’re starting to understand the role of those cells in diseases, but what we also know is that when you have more of those senescent cells, you age more rapidly.”

These zombie cells are controlled by two other proteins present in cells – progerin and sirtuins. Murphy explains, “Progerin builds up over time and the exposome [essentially external lifestyle factors that contribute to our skin’s health like stress, sun exposure, sleep etc] makes this worse. Basically, this is a protein that just messes up the cell. As a result of that, a cell might die but it might also become one of these toxic cells. Sirtuins are more of the good proteins and are starting to be called longevity proteins – they protect the nucleus and the DNA and try to maintain its integrity.”

Murphy says that zombie cells are naturally occurring in the body, and can be the result of both genetics and external aggressors. “In the context of skin aging, the build-up of senescent cells is directly related to the external aggressors and the exposome setting off that cascade of processes related to the progerin which increases the number of senescent cells.”

Dermalogica created its newest serum to help fight these cells, as well as to help with the appearance of ageing overall. According to the brand, research has shown that exposomic factors account for a huge 50 per cent of visible signs of aging. To help counter all of the above, the Phyto-Nature Firming serum operates in three phases:

  1. Reawakens younger looking skin by boosting glutathione (a naturally present anti-oxidant) levels through the use of sapphire-coated biomimetic peptide that helps firm skin and restimulate its own defence mechanisms;
  2. Re-energizes collagen machinery (also known as fibroblast) through the use of Moroccan Rock Rose, Amazonian Camu Camu and Madagascar Green Coffee Bean;
  3. And reduces the amount of zombie cells via a peptide that “helps decrease the level of progerin and increase sirtuins” to stop the formation of the senescent cells.

The dual-phase serum has produced some incredible clinical results, says Murphy, with the brand able to confidently proclaim that consistent use over an eight-week time period results in reducing skin’s visible age by five years. “We’ve really designed this to be a very different take on aging,” says Murphy. “This isn’t just about prevention or covering up damage, we’re trying to restore the skin to the functionality of younger skin.”
