The holidays are a time of giving, so what better time to give back to those who need a little extra love and support? Canadian brands are leading the charge this season with gifts helping animals, adults, the environment and just about everything in between.

If you’d prefer to get more hands-on for the holidays, there’s always the option to make a shoebox for a woman in need as part of Jessica Mulroney’s Shoebox Project, which distributes care packages to women staying in shelters.

This season, L’Occitane has a curated edit of gifts that, when purchased, will see the French brand plant 10,000 trees to help protect the environment. This kit – which includes a body cream, shower foam, hand cream and an eau de toilette – is one of those.

Inspired by their rescue dogs, Jordana Belillti & Nicole Adam started Murphy & Jo to help other strays. A portion of all the proceeds from the sale of the brand’s soy candles go to Save our Scruff, a Toronto non-profit organization that rescues and rehomes dogs.

Meghan Markle-loved Canadian brand Sentaler has designed a range of beanies, scarves and gloves in support of SickKids – proceeds from the sale of these items are donated to the Toronto charity.

Urban Barn is donating $5 from the sale of one of its vegan faux fur throws to the SPCA and Humane Society to help protect animals from cruelty and find them forever homes.

NONIE – another Canadian brand favoured by the Duchess of Sussex – has designed this shirt to support TELUS Friendly Future Foundation's initiative to help end bullying and create a safer, friendlier world online.

Toronto-based jeweller Suetables has created this necklace to support Hanya's Hope, an organization that partners with charities to help child abuse survivors and victims of human trafficking. 20% of each sale goes towards the charity.
