Fenty announced the launch of new stackable eyeshadow palettes

2019 might almost be over but Fenty is making sure to sneak in one final product drop before the new decade begins. This week, Rihanna’s namesake label announced that it will launch a product called Snap Shadows Mix & March Eyeshadow Palettes in eight hues. In addition to being the brand’s first eyeshadow launch in over a year, the Snap Shadows are perfect for New Year travel – planning on a neutral eye one day but something smokier or more dramatic for New Year’s Eve? Just click your two favourite palettes together et voila, all the colours you’ll need in one handy little compact. Plus, the brand will launch three new brushes to complement the palettes, as well as an on-the-go dry brush-cleaning sponge (which will only be available online). The palettes will be available from December 26 for $33 each or $59 for two.

This week, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian unveiled her nighttime skincare routine – and for the most part, it’s pretty easily replicated by us non-celebrities. Many of the products she uses come from collaborations she’s worked on as part of her lifestyle brand Poosh (including a CBD-infused serum), with additions like Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, Caudalie’s Glycolic Peel Mask and French Girl’s Rose Lip Polish. In fact, eight of the 10 products clock in at under $50. The most expensive product in the lineup is a face cream that comes courtesy of celebrity-favourite dermatologist Dr. Barbara Sturm for $205.

Google revealed the most asked beauty questions of the year

With the end of the year (nay, decade) just weeks away, everyone is taking a look back at the year that was – and Google has just released its annual list of the most asked beauty questions for 2019. Topping the list was “How to apply Color Street nails”, which comes off the back of the US company’s success this year thanks to its stick-on nail art. The rest of the list, however, showed that we all went back to basics this year with queries centring around how to apply blush, fake lashes self-tanner, mascara and primer. Plus, the seventh most searched question was “how to apply coconut oil to hair” proving that DIY treatments were also a hit this year among beauty-lovers. Check out the full top 10 below:

  1. How to apply Color Street nails
  2. How to apply fake lashes
  3. How to apply blush
  4. How to apply toner
  5. How to apply liquid foundation
  6. How to apply individual lashes
  7. How to apply coconut oil to hair
  8. How to apply self-tanner
  9. How to apply mascara
  10. How to apply primer

And ICYMI, these are the brands and products we’ll all be adding to cart next year.
