Huda Beauty launches Pastel Obsessions eyeshadow palette today

Huda Kattan is sending pastels into motion for spring. Her beauty brand Huda Beauty is launching Pastel Obsessions today, which sees three mini eyeshadow palettes in a spread of rose, mint and lilac hues—all mastering a unique iridescent opulence. The shades’ marble designs enable two different colours to pop on the skin, depending on how it is hit with light. And with the array of both mattes and metallics on each palette, Kattan says that “people have the option to go for a subtle shimmer look, a highly pigmented matte look, or a combination look using a little of both.” The beauty mogul has been on the move with her beauty line as of late. Earlier this month she launched Wishful, her first bite into the skincare side of beauty. Shop her full program here.

Goopglow adds a new serum to its lineup

In conjunction with Goop beauty landing in Sephora Canada this past week, the brand has added a new product, suitable for all skin types. The Goopglow 20% Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid Glow Serum combines two skin-care powerhouses: a brightening L-ascorbic acid, which is the best-for-skin version of the antioxidant vitamin C, and a moisturizing hyaluronic acid. It is however in vitamin C’s nature to degrade and oxidize quickly upon contacting water. While this oxidation isn’t bad for your skin, it inhibits the product’s ability to deliver results. To combat this, Goop has bottled the L-ascorbic acid on its own, as a powder, ready to be mixed with a unique hyaluronic acid serum prior to first-time use. When combined, the serum activates, and this duality delivers maximum potency and freshness. The results: A refined appearance of skin texture, hydrated skin, a diminished look of fine lines and wrinkles, an improved skin barrier function and a healthy-looking, firm, radiant complexion. Shop it at Sephora Canada now for $165.

Cosmetics brand Guide Beauty launches, with easy application makeup

“Artistry Made Easy” is one of the ways Guide Beauty brands itself. The recently launched beauty brand proposes an untapped angle in the industry, offering a range of products designed for easy application. This accessible line is the brainchild of makeup artist Terri Bryant, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease after working in the beauty industry for over a decade. Her product range includes a water-proof eyeliner, the Guide Eyeliner Duo, which is equipped with a Guide Wand curved precision tip applicator that follows the eye’s natural shape. A see-through window on the tip allows for easy visibility. This tool is designed to achieve a range of techniques, from waterlines to tight-lines, and even wings. The brand’s current lineup—all of which is clean, vegan and cruelty-free—is completed with a smudge-proof mascara, Lash Wrap, and a brow gel, Brow Moment.
